![]() The movement is very good, but completely different to the quake movement. Just an example, you can explode the enemy rocket with another weapon or just dodge it with the laser. But when you got into the game, you know how react and counter weapons. If you are completely new at nexuiz, you might get sick of this huge splash weapons and splash through walls (yes its there) and the different movement. There are also some very nice possible combos in that game which need skill (no, I dont talk about using electro 2nd fire and then 1st fire). rocket speed depends on your movement speed). It got impressive graphic, huge splash weapons, strong instant hit weapons, the unique laser for trickjumps and interesting features (i.e. But why you expected that? There are more then enough of these clones out there, just get one of them. Maybe I am completely wrong, but I feel that some of you played nexuiz only for one public round and deleted it afterwards.Īll who hope to play another Quakeclone wont get happy with this game. oh btw if ur one of those sheeple who thinks that linux cant play games watch this and when your finished watching this, take off your shoes and stick ya foot in ya mouth. maybe they should be taking some more pointers from Mr. Weapons are original, if u prefer the quake3 models then import them into the game and quit complaining! I really hope they fix the preformance issues with the latest release, its grinding with video cards that dont have the right chipset or something. However contrary to the opinion of those commenting here, I actually like the gameplay, it's configurable so u can balance and alter the game physics and weapons as much as you want, inside the game itself which is unprecidented and completely awsome. I hope they clean up the resources and realise that people dont necessarily want 100000000 polys on a map, massive splash effects and weirdo player models. i can only imagine that it has something to do with the q3 maps not decoding properly with the latest release. To make it more confusing, I even compiled both engines, nexuiz and darkplaces, from the exact same source code. For some reason, my intel dual core cant handle nexuiz, with everything turned down/off, yes it's only onboard graphics but the funny thing is when i run quake with darkplaces, it runs perfectly, like vidogame black majic *this is with 500mb worth of enhanced textures, md3 models etc*.
